Laser Hair Reduction

Laser Hair Reduction is the long-term solution for treating unwanted hair in both men and women. It can be used virtually on any area of the body to remove hair safely, quickly and effectively to leave your skin feeling soft and silky smooth…

Broad-spectrum light is applied to the surface of the skin, targeting melanin. This light travels through the skin until it strikes the hair shafts or the bulb (root). The bulb is usually where the highest concentration of melanin is located. As the light is absorbed, the bulb and most of the hair shaft are heated, destroying the hair-producing papilla. It is also claimed that heat conversion occurs directly in the darker capillaries that bring blood to the follicle.

Depilase Diode Laser

Depilase has a special pulse technology on continuous wave called  “SOPP”, which ensures that the heat transferred from the system is gradually built-up in the hair-follicle in two steps without affecting the surrounding tissue, instead of transferring large amount of energy in one go as done in other machines, which can be painful and harmful for tissue.

Safety

Diode laser has been the gold standard in hair reduction. Depilase machine is used all over Europe, Middle East, Asia, and America in some of the best clinics. It is CE medical, ISO, GMP approved system with years of testing and trials to ensure fully safe operation.

Speed

Depilase has a revolutionary technology called “Fast Depilation Pulse”. The low energy ensures the procedure is very safe, and fast movement ensures large areas can be treated. In continuous motion technology, we gradually build up the temperature of the targeted tissue up to 73 degrees Celsius, which is sufficient to destroy all follicles in the targeted area and makes the treatment very effective.

Best Technology

It is CE medical, ISO, GMP approved system with years of testing and trials to ensure fully safe operation. Depilase is a comfortable Hair Reduction treatment compared to the existing hair reduction procedures. It is more effective, extremely fast and very safe. Depilase works on the principle of selective photo thermolysis combined with excellent cooling. This involves delivering of a perfect wavelength which is selectively absorbed by hair follicles and not the surrounding tissue.

Luminence Intence Pulse Light

Luminence Intense Pulse Light device is cooled by water and can be used for long-lasting hair reduction and photo therapy. Advantages:

IPL Hair reduction. The application of light-based technology for hair reduction is also based on the principle of selective photo thermolysis, using melanin as the target chromophore. Since melanin is found in the hair follicle epithelium as well as throughout the epidermis, it is important to selectively target the pigment deposits inside the hair shafts while leaving the epidermal melanin aggregates untouched. However, melanin’s absorption peak is best at lower wavelengths, making deeper penetration of light to the base of the hair follicle more challenging. The use of longer wavelengths to deliver more energy to deeper layers of the skin can be used to target larger, denser melanin collections in hair follicles. Once melanin absorbs the light energy, it is transformed into thermal energy causing necrosis of the hair follicle. The hair follicle in the anagen phase is the most responsive to this treatment, given the fact that the hair shaft contains the largest amount of melanin.

Things you need to know before getting Laser Hair Reduction

Laser hair reduction does not actually work by using magic.

This treatment uses laser that has settings adjusted to both your skin and hair type. The laser fires a concentrated beam of light that’s directed at the pigment in your hair follicles. This kills the follicle at its root, preventing those hairs from growing back.

If you want to see results, you have to be consistent.

Your hair follicles are on their own growth cycle. People who see the best results typically go in for treatment every four to six weeks in order to maximize the potential of zappin’ the most follicles. This time frame allows the dead hair shafts to fall out on their own.

Stay out of the sun before your appointment.

Four to eight weeks no tanning, you can’t do this treatment if you’re sunburned — or even if you have a tan. This also includes staying away from tanning beds, spray tans, and tanning lotion.

You must shave the area you’re getting laser.

Do NOT proceed to come in with your hairy self. Shave atleast 12 hrs. before or evening before your appointment. For a note, you can’t come in for laser hair reduction if you’ve had a wax recently or bleached the hair. Remember: The laser targets the PIGMENT of your hair follicle, and the follicle actually has to be there in order for this to work, so do only shaving for a while.

Your Technician can provide a test patch on your skin at your first appointment if your skin is sensitive.

The sad truth is that not everyone’s skin will react well to laser treatments. Pigment problems, discoloration, and scarring can occur with some skin types, which is why it’s important to allow your technician to conduct a small test patch first.

Laser hair redution doesn’t automatically make you silky smooth after your first treatment.

It takes between six to twelve sessions of laser hair reduction in order to see phenomenal results.

Some hair and skin types can be a little harder to treat.

Dark hair follicles are usually easy to treat because, again, the laser targets the hair’s pigment. This is also why gray, white, blonde, and red pigments doesn’t respond to laser. Darker tones can also be harder to treat, but not impossible.

Lather up that sunscreen post-treatment.

Sunscreen should be your BFF in general, but definitely use it after your treatment. Your skin will be sensitive — even if it doesn’t feel like it — and you need to protect it as much as possible.

Also avoid perfumes, deodorant, and hot showers.

Just for 24 to 48 hours after treatment, and take lukewarm showers for the first few days.
